15 yrs ago I needed a trailer. Craigslist guided me to a west side trailer park. I thought for sure my wife would demand we get the hell out of Dodge before I could ever negotiate a price for the cheapest ($150), ugliest trailer I may have ever laid eyes on. A long tongue, wooden sides of rotten plywood. No front or rear gate. The rear axle of a FWD car that had a bent rim on the left side. I literally laughed when we pulled away and it wobbled down the road. Looked like a sloppy duck trying to take flight running on water. Hence the name Ugly Duckling.
Last year a did the third complete rebuild. This one inspired by EP. This trailer needs to serve many purposes so most parts are bolt on, easily removable when the job requires it. This is the family truckster of small trailers.
First pic is this past weekend. Others will follow, including a short build.
Stripped and cleaned
