Ive been tossing around the idea of trading my 2012 taco for a Powerstroke of a Cummings and this was an awesome announcement as ive been leaning more towards the megacab Cummings with a 6 speed. If the back bedsides are complete replacements Id like to see the long bed with the ram boxes built in

Sweet, they let the cat out of the bag!! I want to see one in person and if I can get one onto a certain lot soon.

Heck, I want some of those bits as well as my plan for my rack to build my idea out.

*Scott, if you have yet to take out the '14 1500 w/ either the Hemi, or the Diesel, do it. It was enough to make me completely fall in line. I don't miss my 4Runner at all.

Like Lance, I'm happy to see AEV branching out to other markets besides the JK. I hope the Ram market proves to be as fruitful for them as the JK market. I don't know the demographics of Ram owners well enough to know whether there's a rabid following like the JK community that will invest in these upgrades - I'm hoping there is. At the very least, I'm guessing their suspension upgrades will be quite popular.

Those of us with Power Wagons are quite rabid...

We buy the trucks thinking they are already perfect, but find the weak links very quickly. So we do spend a lot of $$$ on upgrades - it's every bit as bad as the Jeep Mod bug.

But, it's such a small segment of the market. Our Power Wagon Registry website and forum that's solely dedicated to the big trucks has about 400 members.

In past years the production numbers of Power Wagons has been low for consumer sales, usually about 10,000 units annually. The Gov bought a lot of PW for the Forest Service and Border Patrol tho, and that's what has kept them available. They have been pushing the 4th Gen trucks a bit harder, so we'll hope that keeps the Power Wagon alive and well. Us 3rd Gen guys hope AEV will give us some goodies too, but it's not likely. I'll be very interested in the suspension when it comes out - it should be a straight swap into a 3rd Gen. One of the weakest links on the Dodge are the front control arms, and AEV needs to look at those as an opportunity to not only increase strength, but add the all important 0.500 in extra length to move the front tires forward with the additional lift.

The diesel market is vastly different tho, and perhaps there will be some carryover into that segment. Most of the oil burners here locally are used for construction or ranch work, and while I see a lot of'm used by hunters, they are usually towing a toy hauler w/ ATV/UTV's for accessing the back country. Honestly, the oil burners need the fat tires more than the PW's do - they tend to sink pretty quickly...

Great looking setup!. Concerning fuel economy,the DEF equipped Dodges are doing quite well. The engine's been detuned somewhat and owner's report very infrequent regens. Oil change intervals have doubled at the least.

My friend's at Sema as we speak.

It is a good looking rig alright. It's hard to find style AND function in one place with a Dodge anything. Alas, having a 2001 CTD, i'm strapped into the old style flat top front fender openings and too-close bulkhead framing (directly to the rear of the front wheels) which preclude using larger than 33's without fender/bulkhead clearancing. The newer Dodge fender openings are round-ish like the Ford has had for a long time, and larger tires and wheels are now possible. Look at how close the front wheel/tire is to the rr of the fender opening;

I would like a manual cummings, my friends tell me there is night and day difference between the cummings and all the others. My buddy gets 25 mpg all day long with his cummings while towing his 5th wheel

Emailed the boys at AEV to congratulate them. Got an immediate response back which demonstrates their commitment to customer service. Let them know there is support and a market out there for their (Dodge) RAM products. Can't do it this year, but in a couple of years...WOOHOO! :sombrero:

I have 2011 Ram CTD crew cab 4x4. I can't wait for these products to hit the market (said hopefully). I've been longing after some modifications like this for the truck that didn't follow the design vocabulary of diamond plate bumpers (e.g., ranch hand) or tippy cheap suspension lifts. This looks like just the ticket.

Well done...

I'll email them as well for support. I did sign up for their newletter for updates on this product line.

The guys from AEV dropped this truck off at the dealership I work at for us to display for a few days. What an amazing truck! The fit and finish is beautiful and it might ride better than any 3/4 ton truck I've ever been in. Nice to see AEV branching out. It's at Larry H Miller Dodge if anyone in the Salt Lake City area wants to check it out.
