Ha, ha, no I missed that. That winch has done some serious work since I got it and I am well satisfied with it also. When I go out by myself the winch provides great peace of mind. Even with other vehicles, it's a requirement due to the trucks weight of 14,000 lbs, with the camper. Mud and "stuck" takes on a serious meaning with that weight.

Bob, I'm still awestruck by the engineering of the Unimog. I mean, whoever heard of a "1-link" axle setup?! Just amazing! I was another one gawking at the winch on your beast.

Hey zolo, when you get a chance PM me or post what you have done to your suspension. Even though our brief SAR night ride got cut short, the experience of Marley on the stereo, a working heater, no weird drafts, and the sensation of busting *ss along the trail without it sounding like I was in a run-away chuckwagon made quite an impression. I am on fire to start tweaking my Nismo. Really liked the looks of your front coilover set-up.

Thanks for the link on the shocks. I think you must have gotten the camera out right after I learned that the middle path takes a more careful approach than I first thought. If I had known someone was shooting video I would have tried a more exciting line with some pedal mashing instead of just going around the edge. Looks like I am asleep and the truck is just loafing along. After seeing the river scene I will definitely have to work on my on-camera hijinks.

My Sway-a-way are actually a 2.5" shock body and adjustable 0-3" i PM u and they are worth it. They make what ever u want pretty much, and Mike yes u should have taken the harder line its a defender after all, just not a white defender!

The white adds to the off road performance. Everyone should know this by now.

Next (smaller?) boondoggle is scheduled for 20-Feb through 22-Feb, closer to your home. Somewhere off of TN-165 outside of Tellico Plains.
