Alternative fuels for small firepit?

I have a UCO Flatpack. Sawing and splitting small-size wood (8" and 12" long) is laborious. Would either of these work?:

(1) Sawdust bricks: Can they be split smaller? Do they burn fast or slow?

(2) According to my local Tractor Supply, you can burn pine bedding pellets in a camping stove. But how would you create air for the fire?

Perhaps regular smoker pellets would work, the ones like Traeger uses? I have tried some of those pressed bricks before and had pretty limited success, perhaps user error but I never went back to them.

I haul and burn almost exclusively off cuts from my various woodworking projects. Find a custom cabinet shop or flooring contractor and ask to dumpster dive. A bucket of chicken can move mountains with respect to getting permission. Very few thing burn as nicely in a campfire as unfinished oak flooring, and it stacks really nicely!

Finally in expo white.
Sometimes I’ll use regular charcoal briquettes in a fire pit for cooking. Not much ambiance though.
