Back in the old days guys would turbo 3.0's semi regularly, i recall single turbo and megasquirt or maybe GT ECU. All those threads existed on internet 1.0 and most of the pioneers of the modifications are long gone. I hear it wakes the 3.0 right up well exceeding 3.5 DOHC power.

Ya, I looked into it. The megasquirt v2 is only like $400, would be a cool project.

im eager to see that v8 idle up steep grades, say 1000 feet above lake tahoe on that one rocky trail, my little 3.0 got pretty warm in so doing. the v8 would just idle through those donikers and washouts...
