G'day guys,

I purchased my 80 series just over a year ago (1990 GX factory turbo diesel), and have set about modifying it to tour Australia comfortably. Below is a list of current modifications (some of which came with the car):

- Harrop Eaton ELockers on the front and rear
- ARB winch bar
- Narva light bar
- Narva upgraded headlights (high and low beam)
- ARB upgraded wiring loom for above headlights
- Safari front mount intercooler
- EGT gauge
- 5" DVD/GPS touch screen
- Icom UHF
- Upgraded interior lighting (LED panels)
- Rear drawer system
- 55L Evakool fridge
- Kaymar Rear Bar and twin tyre carriers
- Air bags (blue - no idea what brand)
- Cargo barrier (cut down from a 100 series)
- 285/75/16 BFG KM2's x 6 (almost here!)
- Marks adaptors part time kit
- Aluminium full length roof rack
- 120W solar panel
- Side awning

I've had it on the dyno, returning a respectable 104kW at the wheels. So far, its taken us on some epic trips up north, and down south, and we are very happy with it.

What EGT gauge do you have and where is it mounted? I've got 3 52mm gauges waiting to go in, but no place to mount them.

Hey mate. Nice to meet you.

Mines a Scintex digital gauge, that I made a bracket up for and bolted to the bottom of the dashboard, right in front of the gearstick. I realise that probably makes no sense at all - so here's a photo

Mines rectangular - you can get pillar pods that should take the 52mm gauges?

Awesome rig. Do you have plans to install sliders? Or are they not needed where you're traveling?
