Another tire question on a 2002 suburban

Anyone know how wide a tire will fit under a stock 2002 suburban 2500 4X4? Like to know rim and tire size.

I could not fit a 285/70/17 on a hummer rim under my CC 2500,4x4, not sure the differences between the two if any. ( it was paper thin clearance and I thought the diff would rub) Might have fit if it was not a M/T.. My .02

I have a set of 285/70/17 on suburban rims on my silverado. No issues with rubbing and if anything I could have gone slightly bigger. OEM offset is important to going with bigger tires of stock height trucks.

I have an 04 Yukon with the factory 17" rims & I run 265/70/17 with no issues & lots of space in my opinion for a wider/taller tire yet

when the tire is compressed up into the wheel well it might be another story
