Any Vegas or Sound Forge experts here?

I'm having a rough time figuring out how to use these software packages. I am to the point that I am on the verge of taking them out and setting them on fire in the back yard.

Is there anyone here who can answer some simple questions for me about sound effects and lighting effects?

We have that Vegas program at work for when we put together training videos and I hate the program. So I'm not much help. :sombrero:

Vegas isn't as bad, just hard to learn. Sound Forge is worthless.

there is a book series by a guy named Douglas Spotted Eagle or something that helped me a ton
and a website with video tutorials called two cows or ??
just search Sony Vegas Forums and you will find good stuff

I have been using sony vegas for many years(since version 6).. my vegas 9 came with a tutorial dvd... did you get one as well? I can send you my mine..

Vegas is atually one of the most straight forward editor around.. very flexible in its workflow.. more than one way to do many things.. I think its the vast possibilities that make it hard to figure out
