Anybody hunting this week?

Upland game opened last week but I had to work the weekend so I am heading to parts north Thursday night so that I can enjoy a nice stroll in the woods looking for Grouse on Friday morning . After my stroll I'll head a bit farther north to my cottage to set up my tree stands for the November rifle hunt for deer. I might also hunt for grouse after my chores are done and I spot any on our property. So, who is hunting this week?

Not me.

But I just finished up several days of dove shooting -always great fun- and squirrel is right around the corner, then deer in November... and then I'll settle in for some quail (and maybe rabbit) in December. If I'm feeling it, I might try and call in a coyote this winter as well. Oh, and javelina in February (if I get drawn).

Can't hunt yet. Small game is open only from october first unless you go in a reserve in Nova Scotia. Enjoy your hunt.
