I have a 1993 FG437E with the 4.2L 4D33 engine, and I have searched high and low to find an air filter with no luck. I have found a couple dealers selling them in other countries but none that will import to the US. Has anyone else had any luck?
The filter in there now has no markings on it, but the ones I found in other countries are from a brand called VIC and the part number is A-330 (see image), I have cross-referenced that with every filter site I can think of and came up empty. The bottom plate is metal and held on with a wing nut.
The one in there now is probably at about 20% life and needs replaced soon, and if I do as much dirt road driving as I plan, I will be needing new ones on a regular bases. Is my only option to replace the whole intake with something aftermarket? And if so, has anyone done that on a similar truck, and learned what works?
