Anyone running a Chevy custom Trail Boss?

I don't have 60-80 grand for a truck, and I don't like chrome.
I'm hoping an XLT ford can be had for 40k again next year and I'll live with chrome. But I'm not giving them 50 k for a Supercab XLT.
Trucks have become stupid. My 2014 was 32k new in 14. Used to be able to buy a GM custom for low 30s a few years ago and prior to shortages 40k got a decent truck. Now it's 50 and all the Ford's on the local lot are pushing or above 60

You can get an STX for under 40. No chrome, no fake wood, no BS pretty boy truck things. Simple, easy, affordable. Some have the 5.0, 10 spd and a selectable locker which is a fantastic combo.

Speaking of lockers.... Does the trail boss have a legit selectable locker or is it their G80 auto locker thing?

You can't get an STX for under 40 grand here. XLTs start at 50.

I'm not sure on the GM, but I'd hazard a guess it's the G80 still.

Wow that's ridiculous. I got mine for 34k at carmax last July. It was used but super low miles and mint.

The trail boss uses the g80, which you have to get your tires spinning for it to engage. I prefer the lockers that are engaged with a button.

Illinois, April 1st 2021.
That's a stellar deal for this year.

I did note that April the prices were lower than May.

For the time being I'm going to keep driving my current truck, and see how hard it is to add select shift. At this rate I don't know if prices for things will ever go down. Our industry is being hit with shortages and massive price increases across the board and we are to expect it to stay that way for the rest of the year minimum.
