Are there any trailer tent manufacturers in the US?

I have seen several aussie and chinese manufacturers but nobody seems to retail these things in the US.

I'm looking for this type:

Anybody know of anyone?

Gordigear ships to the US but it's pricey.

They are in Canada but ship to the US. We had great experience working with Glen and no problems getting things taken care of regarding registration. Glen supplies all the paperwork needed.

I could be mistaken, but I think the original post was asking about trailer tents, not tent trailers.

The tent on the Afrispoor Trailer is by Howling Moon. They are imported by Bundu Gear:

Both are great companies with fantastic products. And both support the ExPo community.

Here's a thread about Howling Moon.

Looking at the picture posted, that is not a RTT like in your link. From what I can see in the picture, it is a clamshell design with a add-a-room on the side, just like I can do with our Kamparoo (if I bought the AAR). In the pic, I can see the forward wall of the trailer box (behind the tongue box) and the way the hard poles in the tent part show up, they match exactly like our Kamparoo setup.

If that is what he is looking for, the Trailers For Sale area has a great price on a Kamparoo. http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43382

I have emailed with the owner and he's open to adapting it to an offroad trailer similar to the Kimberly Kamper. I haven't pursued it further due to cost constraints at the moment....aka I'm broke.

I do think it would be a viable alternative. You could outfit a trail rig identical to a kimberly kamper for way less than what they are asking for one if you were a proficient fabricator, and I've seen quite a few around here in my short time. One day in the near future I plan on pursuing this idea further.
