I'm not sure if this is "artistic" but turtles laying on a black sand beach are boring. With some wave action and turtles swimming I was a lot happier with this image that alludes to the struggle of a sea creature to reach dry land

I agree, the Subway shot is great. I have wanted to get there for years. :elkgrin:

Nice job on the lake reflection too. The background doesn't have enough character to carry the image though IMO. Right approach, just not the perfect location. Do the same in a spot with a majestic background and you would have a wall hanger. :victory:

Thanks guys. I'd do the subway again anytime. It's far easier than top down in the Narrows and gets you into a bunch of different scenery. You can also do it fromthe bottom up if you want a shorter day without having any of the swims or short hand rope drops.

I totally agree with the lack of background on the lake photo. Practice, Practice...
