ATC Rocky Mountain Rescue RMR60: The beginning

LOL!

Well, if you ever worked a "call ahead", "controlled delivery" or " tip" from KCI/MCI between 1989-1995 it most likely came from me or S/A Hicks!

We specifically bird dogged on Kansas plates from Sedgwick County, Riley County, Wyandotte County and Shawnee County during the those years due to the amount of crack $$$$ heading to LA/source city.

I need to look up the name of the guy I worked with down there.

Thanks on the Cruiser!

These pictures and the terminology bring back some memories. These could have easily been taken at our offices. In fact, the middle one is eerily similar to an area in our bull pen. Highlight of my career, working UC.

LoL....I suspect we probably shared a drink (or two....) at one of the "SkyNarc" Conferences happy hours one of those years then!

Take care and hope your enjoying your retirement!

Off-Road Trail Tool Kit. What is it?

The average Off-Roader carries a mininmum of over 250 tools in their rig. Yet, their vehicle only has an average of only 50-60 different nuts, bolts, fasteners! So, on average, most Off-Roaders carry 200 tools that doesn't actually fit their machine! (When was the last time you used that 5.5 mm socket to do a trail repair?) All this is just extra bulk, weight, clutter and noise in your truck!

All this was the point behind the design of the Adventure Tool Companies "ShopRoll" toolroll. It forces guys to carry only the tools that fit their truck for an average trail repair.

To prove this point, I'm doing a "RoadKill" style Rusto-Resto Mod to our ATC Rocky Mountain Recovery 1987 Toyota FJ60 Land Cruiser with just the hand tools that fit in our Adventure Tool Companies "ShopRoll".

The RMR60 is going to be the brand vehicle for our new line of ATC Rocky Mountain Recovery technical gear bags! Coming soon!

I've currently got 42 wrenches, hammers, sockets, screwdrivers, etc...in the ShopRoll and I've managed to pull bumpers, wheels, misc. fasteners and all the engine emission equipment for a desmog. Next will be the rebuilding the front hubs, swapping suspension and pull/swap the engine! All out of an ATC ShopRoll!
