Finally got my license plates nearly three months after applying for them. Illinois is such a wonderful place sometimes. As a lifelong cyclist that strives to follow the rules/laws of the road whether driving or riding, Im happy that Illinois offers these plates. Share the road folks.

AAA Club hands you your plates on the spot here for used vehicles. They can't register new vehicles yet.

They are constantly for sale on craigslist around here, usually for less than $200 with some crappy stock size tires or $100 bare. If I ever make a trip to San Diego Ill bring you a set! Im sure you could find some in a junkyard. They are the same wheels on 2wd 2500 trucks which there might be more of in socal. Or just take the spare out of 4 2500 trucks in the junkyard.

Yeah, those alloys look nice. I've got '07 alloys now. Truck's in for the Takata death airbags today. 2nd time in the dealer since Oct. '06.

Great thread, just read the whole thing! Love the single cab 8' bed. When I was 16 I started out with a single cab 8' bed. This thread and a few others have me thinking that again! Just a bit of advice, stay single as long as you can live some adventures!!!

Sure would have been a shame to sell that truck- you clearly enjoy using it. Hope you can manage to keep it, and keep updating this cool thread.

Nice!

You're right in my back yard. China wall is a fun trail, you shouldn't have to worry too much about the rockers with your lift but there are still some spots you'll have to watch with no sliders.

Heres me ascending the wall with a Cherokee I used to own back in 2014.

The hole at the bottom of the wall grows every year making it harder and harder to get up(or down, that's the real pucker factor). This year I was unable to make it in my 4runner with similar lift and tire size. With the hole growing you need more and more approach angle to make it up. Expect some bumper damage if you attempt the wall.

I have a trip planned to an area near by called The Gulches/Wildcat Canyon on the 19th of Nov, if your interested shoot me a PM we'd love to have you along.

I totally saw your truck last week then. Looks good in person! How much longer ya here for? Hit me up if you wanna ski the Bird sometime.

Props to you on leaving Chicago! I was kind of surprised you had moved there, I'm happy to be out. Love the truck and your thread BTW. Saw it on Chicago CL a few times.

Looks good. You stole the awning. Great buy. A neighbor has an ARB on his Four Runner and showed me how easy they are to setup.
ARB's got a winner.

The H2's are a 17 x 8.5 with 5.5" of backspacing. They should be lighter than your old steelies.
Nice compromise wheel and the price was right.
Most 315's now are E rated so if you stay with that size it should be a stronger tire.
