Bad day driving around .....

You're in good company Matt (atleast I think so). I flopped mine on it's side, very flat ground, going very slow. The left rear tire came up on a hump of dirt, just like slow motion it went over. Flopped on it's side, had the door tops off and a rock was sticking up where it would have been. Slight crease in the right front fender and some scuff marks, that was it! Put a strap around the outrigger and a gentle tug pulled it upright. The guy behind me couldn't believe it went over or why! I've since had it at other crazy angles without any other incident. Just simple, unlucky physics sometimes!

I put it down to shear driver skill. Being able to land it on its side without breaking any glass, pure skill !! That's it!

The roll cage did its job. That is what kept the window frame from being shifted more.

Update. Straightened the windshield hinges and pulled the top off. I'm going to pull the outer r/h fender skin and weld the tears. Then I'll massage it back into shape or try to. These photos illustrate how the roll cage is a worth while installation. Without it the damage would have much greater. The hoops would have completely folded and it may have gone completely over. Just food for thought.

Land Rovers look better when their all beat up!

Agreed! It adds character..like a steamer trunk immigration sticker. Makes people want to ask "where have you been?"

Hope you took advantage of the opportunity to do that needed underbody inspection and maintenance while it was laying on it's side patiently for you!

I'll use this "opportunity" to install the fancy aluminum radiator.

Its, been a while, but i'm real close to driving daily again. After my other mods, the 1000 hp air cleaner:sombrero:, brake and clutch master cylinder, and finally the radiator. I forgot how much fun it was to drive!!
Sorry for the quality of the images. The fender is close but I need to spend more time on it.
