Seems to list PL-S type four pin bulbs, I've only spotted 11w so far, but I'm sure there are options. I'd retrofit different Balasts into those housings before changing them for different fixtures.

Edit:
Found a 4 pin PL-S 9w
http://www.ecat.lighting.philips.co...rated/pl-s/master-pl-s-4-pin/927936282711_eu/

I'm not sure it's the same, but the seller could likely tell you.

Thanks for the research and information, I really appreciate it!

Not to highjack this thread too badly, but these fixtures are 21 years old (1993 model vehicle) and so is the technology. I didn't realize it, but the pictures don't show the lense/cover assembly which protrudes down a good 1.5" and I keep banging my head on them. I can either replace the lense/cover with a flat lens and install LEDs inside the base, or remove the entire light assembly except for the chrome trim ring and replace the lense/cover with an Aluminum adapter plate and install a completely new flush mount LED light assembly.

Also, I looked up the manufacturer Aqua Signal and went to their website, and they no longer make this model light. They are a huge manufacturer of marine lighting equipment.

Looks like the forum is finally working again with Tapatalk!

I'm on the road/ moving so don't expect too much from me....

Has anyone had to resort to storing a vehicle? I'm not sure if I will find something on short notice with adequate parking and workspace. Wondering if anyone has been able to store a vehicle and still work on it. Any idea what a fair rate would be?

Best bet for short notice quick solution might be your run of the mill self storage unit. Plenty of ones local to me have units plnety big enough to back in an ambo and work on it.

I had that idea once before for another project, but found out afterward the unit I rented did not have any lights or outlets in it, and I ended up having to use my Honda 2000 generator sitting just outside of the door. Bummer....

Here is what I did over the weekend...

BTW, that's my buddy (the welder) doing the cutting, and we hope to have the tongue fabbed up and installed this week. I'm planning on using this to camp in on Nov. 14-16, so I've got a lot of work to do between now and then.

Wow Pat! Looks like your getting rolling now!

Yeah looks like that's what I will be resorting to.... I guess it is better than grinding and generally raising hell in a residential neighborhood. Might be able to make a paint booth out of it too....

Yeah Ken, just moving back to CNY. Closer to the Adirondacks and big lakes. Should also mean a lot less crazy traveling.

Moving...as in changing residences?

BTW Alex, I saved all of the dash lower panels and the foot well covers for you if you still want them.

Pat I didn't even notice that you posted. Thanks a bunch! Yup I am moving a few hours west to the Central NY area.

Had some down time while I was in the area of the rig.

Quick and dirty install.

LED on the right, halogen on the left. Makes the place look cleaner and less dingy.

Sick of loosing time to the mechanic, I went to the lot and got the LED strips installed. Pretty neat and efficient once the cover is on. Output appears to be similar, which is fine. I may even go back and trim down the Low setting further.

Those LEDs make a big difference, and look good! I prefer the cool white that LEDs can produce, and have gotten to really dislike the old 'yellowed' look of incandescent lights.

We got the main part of the tongue put on mine last night, but it will really need a lot of bracing to stiffen it up and be towable. I'm in a waiting situation also, because my welder buddy got a full time job welding, and now can only work on mine on Saturdays. If I don't get it back (it's 70 miles away) by Nov. 1st., I will more than likely not be able to use it for my camping trip the weekend of the 15th. due to the amount of work I need to do to the inside, cleaning, etc. just to use it for one weekend.

Ok guys I have a question:

In replacing the totally roasted Y pipe it has become necessary to remove everything all the way up to and including the manifolds.

I'm going to be in ~$250 in parts from NAPA to replace the stock size pipes back to the exhaust pipe.

Should I take the opportunity to upgrade to a 3" exhaust? Seems like it may be getting close to that point. I'm still up in the air about installing a turbo down the road, so much of the info I can find is meant for f-series trucks and is contradictory. 50% say I'm going to love it and 50% say I will blow my engine.

And yes this is taking FOREVER!!!! But I'm getting free storage for the winter from my mechanic...

I'm a member on this forum, Ford Truck Enthusiasts, and have been searching but haven't found anything specific yet. It's primarily for the 'F' Series also, but does have some 'E' Series stuff too. Personally, I don't see why 'E' or 'F' would make any difference as long as it's the same engine in the same application.

My F250 has the 6.8L V10 Trition gas engine and gets about 9 mph on a good day. I changed the intake to a aFe Power MagnumFORCE Stage-1 PRO 5R Intake System (same as K&N but cheaper), but I can't tell that it helped at all. My welder/mechanic buddy says it's because I haven't increased the size of the OEM exhaust system. The cold air can now get in, but it can't get out. So, I may be doing the same thing as you are in my near future also.

Yup! Same thing with turbos, supposedly since I have a 92 7.3 I can buy a 93-94 turbo and intake and just bolt everything up. Some minor tuning and I am good to go. Sounds way too easy. Again, most of what you hear is for f350s.

I've never messed with a true custom exhaust, but my thought is that since obviously the whole 7.3l f350 exhaust won't work maybe just buy the sections which bolt to the manifolds and then have a shop build from there back.

I was just on Amazon and they have exhaust systems also, including stainless steel ones. I found a Magnaflow system to fit my F250 for $600.00+, but finding one for your E350 is another story.

I guess they don't consider a big ole clunky van a performance vehicle worth customizing. You may have to look towards the commercial or industrial markets to find what you want.
