well its been a while now since i picked up the rubi, and its still stock,
but.. i have been working on the trailer, i stripped it down then had it sandblasted, i changed a few things on the lid which i will post over in the trailer section,
i bedlined the frame ,fenders and lid, also inside the tub,
i can build stuff, but i am not a body man, i did my best to straighten out a few waves in the upper part of the tub, i spent 3 full days at , after pricing out the materials to paint it ,(somthing i have wanted to learn to do ) i was coming in around 250 bucks, and if i messed it up then what?

soooo.. called in a favour, and had it sprayed .i just picked it up today and i will re-assemble all the parts tomorow,

i just bought a new house with a 60x40 workshop, so once i get established there i will get to lifting the jeep
here is a sneek peek of the trailer

i dont really go '' wheelin '' anymore. i would like this jeep to be my overland/expo rig, the plan is for more of this style trippin than anything else ,

Same reasons I am looking at a JKU. :sombrero:

Color matched trailer will really make a nice looking package.

You can run up to 37" tires with 0 lift using tube fenders on a JK. Check out Metal Cloak, Poison Spyder or others.

You have a JK/JKU and an auto tranny-in the winter it's not that bad, but

During summer, you'll find that an aux tranny cooler is almost neccessary and when off road-except for LONG dirt roads-you should use 4lo to keep the torque conv locked and higer rpm/lower gears, to reduce the heat generated by the tranny-

You probably have the "HOT-OIL" icon warning on your dash-thats a whole new set of problems-

I've towed my trailer for over two years-up hills/rocks/snow/115° heat and had no problems--I've got aux coolers/temp monitoring-just cause I don't want my tranny failing 100 miles from Humanity !!

Google "aux cooling, JK Jeep"

Good luck
