The title should read "Slow As A Snail" because I really haven't done much to my rig so far but I still wanted to make a thread to capture whatever progress I have made. I bought this back in the spring of 2012 after driving a 2005 Acura TL for a few years. I got the itch to check out the Jeep scene and really liked the JKUs. A new one was out of my price range but I came across one at the Honda dealership when I was there getting an oil change. Here it is sitting on the lot:

I ended up getting it the next week. Such an obvious opposite from the Acura. My main plan is to gradually make upgrades to make this rig more off road friendly and accessible for overlanding, camping, and off road trips. I have always wanted a Disco1 after watching Camel Trophy videos since I was a kid, but I know nothing about the mechanics of them and know they have issues (as does any vehicle).

Poser shot the night I drove it home.

Took off the "X" decal the next morning.

Being useless by staying clean.

Here is some progression - replaced the running boards with Rubicon rock rails, added a Yakima spare tire bike carrier, and ripped off the front bumper cover. I've re-sprayed it and added $20.00 AutoZone fog lights (which have burned out).
