I have a 1995 YJ with several mods.

5.0 Ford engine, bored .030, 65mm TB, GTP Heads, B303 cam, Aluminum Radiator. Flex-a-lite Electric fan

AOD Transmission, Lokar Shifter, Atlas II 3.8 T-case

HP D60 Front, 4.56 gears, ARB, Hydraulic Assist Steering

FF Ford 9" Rear, Currie HP, ARB 4.56 gears, Traction Bar

SOA, Flat Skid, 37" Krawlers (spare brand new), H2 wheels, Gas tank Raised 2" (back seat still installed)

Warn 8274 Winch with synthetic cable.

Lots of other little things. All parts are new. Less that 1000 miles on rebuilt engine and trans, axle parts, etc. Have a huge box of receipts. I have been building this over the last several years. Haven't even taken it wheeling yet. Lots of things change over time and now I have two kids and would like to have a larger vehicle.

I'd like to trade for a mildly built FJ80, Tacoma Double Cab or Land Rover DII. I certainly would prefer something with lockers and a winch. I'd never sell this Jeep for less than $15K, so I'm looking for something comparable in price. I would prefer something similar to these:

The pictures above do not show the rear bumper, but it is installed now. PM me for more details or to discuss a trade.

Located in Batavia, OH, on the east side of Cincinnati.

You've had it that long and you haven't even wheeled it yet?? How does that happen? You're getting rid of it before you've even used it once? You have to go out at least once! All that hard work?!

I think you would be better served by selling it and then look for the rig you want not one someone will trade you. Nice Jeep by the way! I also say wheel what you have you would be amazed at how good of an expo vehicle a jeep can make!

LOL!

I bought this thing in '96 with 18K miles on it. Completely stock. I built it a little at a time and wheeled it a lot. I loved this Jeep. People made fun of me because I would wash and wax and polish and then go take it offroad! Paint is in much better condition than most...and there is NO RUST on the body or frame.

First thing I did was install 31" BFG MTs. Then a 3.5" Superlift kit (JUNK!). Put 40K miles on it that way, then did the SOA, lock-rite lockers front and rear with 35" BFGs and put another 40K miles on it. All while being my daily driver 70 miles round trip to work each day. Then I swapped out the rear axle for a Ford 8.8, swapped the tires for 36" swampers and DD'd it another 20K. (128K miles) before the stock engine finally started blowing oil out the intake...

I'm sure if I took it out and drove it more I'd have a hard time selling. I almost feel like I overbuilt it. Probably should have stopped with D44's and 35's.

I feel guilty driving it on the street with $400 a piece tires!!!!! So, while building I haven't been wheeling at all. I took the wife's nearly stock (2" BB and 245/75/16 MTRs) 99 Grand Cherokee to CO and MOAB last June and did several of the "difficult" rated trails, like Fins N Things, Metal Masher and Kane Creek plus a lot easier trails like White Rim, Long Canyon and Klondyke Bluffs. It was so much fun just being out on the trail again. I had 3 adults with me and we really enjoyed the room in the Grand.

I'm starting to think it is time to move on. I haven't even driven it on the winter snow and ice here in OH because I don't want to get it dirty!!! Never had that happen before! LOL.

We'll see what happens. Gotta be the right vehicle for a trade.

Cheers!

I'm sure you're right. But 4 year olds take up a LOT of space...4 month olds take up EVEN MORE!!! I've got one of each plus the dog (he has NO room now the kids are here)

As I said in the last post the other vehicle has to be "right". I could put a trailer on it and have a blast, I know. Maybe I'm playing mind games with myself...:REOutIceFishing:

Can't bear to sell it....but I could probably trade it for something I felt was just as cool.

It's not like we can step out our back door and wheel here in Cincinnati. Unless you know someone with land, all our wheeling in a few hours drive and it's not like Moab.
I've gone months without being on the trails, boy do i need to move.
