Can changing engine oil make leaks start?

Once you start looking at what oils have enough ZDDP for flat tappet motors compared to what is easily available in most of the US Rotella T is one of the obvious choices. Not just for Rovers but the old Porsche crowd and anyone else dealing with this issue.

Us old Land Cruiser guys too; all the F-series engines are flat-tappet motors.

The jag 4.4 v-8 motor is a flat tappet engine (because its dual overhead cam design)

I think I'll look into what they are recommending for oils on those, as it may be useful for those of us with more "seasoned" flat tappet motors.
