I just bought this fg. A 2002 with 65k miles, a rusty frame and a fancy aluminum bed I have no use for. I know I said I was looking for a unimog but the price to get a high payload with a reasonable highway speed is pretty steep. This truck just showed up on craigs list and I got it for 13k which seemed pretty good compared to the 32k the 2005 I was looking at was listed for.
I drove it home 500 miles yesterday and soon I'll get to work on it. I will put a 5-6000 lb crane on it, front locker?, 35" srw tires? and a removable sleeper cab/ tent box and passthrough for the dogs and camping while looking for the perfect rock.
