carrying bikes and a family in an LR3

Just started following NCLR on friendface. Husky, your LR3 looks great! So you removed the 3rd row seats to create additional storage? Do you still have a flat surface when the 2nd row is folded?

Mbwesner, I think we may end up with a trailer. We only have 1 dog now - a flat coated retriever, but plan on getting another in about a year. Maybe that gives us enough time to expand to a trailer.

Going to check out the LR3 from Craigslist in a few hours. Super excited :)))

Yes, I removed the third row seat, then added a piece of birch plywood with metal edges to snug it into the slot, and a piano hinge so it folds up easily from both sides. There's plenty of room for lots of tools.

Noooooooo... Well, maybe it was really a piece of crap, and not meant to be. It took me a few months to find the right one. I flew from Little Rock to San Antonio to pick it up, and I don't regret it one bit.

You should really look hard at that silver one that is for sale in Florida. Serious money spent on that build. You couldn't replicate it for the 17K he is asking.
