Has anyone put a Maggiolina RTT on a AT Chaser. I am thinking about putting a Maggiolina Safari Xl on my Chaser, instead of the EEZI AWN 1800 I have now. If so does anyone have any pics or info on how it will work.

Thanks in Advance.

There are no issues putting a Maggiolina on a Chaser.

The load bars have to be the same width or wider than the tent base, but that's about it.

I had a Maggiolina Grand Tour (medium) on my Horizon and really liked it. Very solid...no flapping whatsoever in the wind..even in big wind! Obviously not the room you have with an EA 1800...trade-offs!

I will have a Maggiolina Grand Tour medium mounted on my brand new AT Chaser tomorrow morning. Some brackets shifted in transit that I need to re-seat, and I'm also going to swap out the load bars for the proper size (58")

I'll try to post a pic when I'm done

Looking forward to the pics, as I have the medium AirLand model, and I would like to get a Chaser in the future.

Also using 58" crossbars which is perfect for the medium model.

Looking forward to pics and info that you can provide. I am still in the thinking process. I am 6'7" and so the Maggiolina would be the XL Safari with an interior dimension of 91", so need to think this out more. I love my EEZI Awn 1800, has allot of room, but it is somewhat difficult to lift the sides and stuff the extra material in when putting it away, @ the end of a trip. I do have some physical limitations that don't help either, that is why I am looking to the ease of the Maggiolina.

When we put family tents or Globetrotters on a Horizon trailer we build an aluminum sub-frame to support the extra length.

The sub-frame carries an other crossbar that give the support to the portion of the tent that is extending beyond the lid.

We'd have to check to make sure it would work with the Thule rack system, but I think we could get it to work for your set up.
