check engine light after header install

I had installed some JBA headers on my 3.4 taco and right after the check engine light came on. I hooked up a scanner and it gave me a code for emissions. I thougt the computer just needed some time to get used to it. Its been probably like 3000 miles since. I had unplugged the battery a few times hoping to reset the computer. Is there any other way to do it, or has anyone else had this problem. I know its not a big deal but its annoying to look at and come smog time its ganna be a problem.

Yes on the O2 sensor.

Same thing happened to me when I installed my Downey headers.

If you getting an emissions reading you might have a leak in the exhaust system, which would show an inaccurate 02 level. Double check all your exhaust connections and also the 02 sensor wiring.
