Ok A few facts before I start this....I have a 12V cigarette lighter adapter that plugs into the stock cig lighter plug and give me 3 plug ins ......but I want to get rid of the stock cig plug because I have an XJ and that location is perfect for switches or a winch control.
Now the question. Should I wire the adapter to the stock wiring, thereby having a key switched adapter? Or wire it to the batt. (always on). Or wire it to the batt. w/ a inline switch so I can turn the cigarette lighter adapter on or off. If I didn't make this clear tell me.
