Clean XJ jeep

I am listing this for a friend. I am very familiar with the vehicle and can answer most questions. This XJ is super clean. Very functional offroad and can still cruise 75mph down the high way.

I'm not understanding these high prices on XJs. I sold my 1996 XJ Country with a 5.5" RE lift, 33" MTRs, 80k miles, 4.56 gears, CB, roof rack, fully maintained and a front ARB bumper for $7k about 7 years ago, and it was totally clean with no body damage. I don't know if they just spotaneously became more popular or what, but I see people trying to sell them for 3-5x what blue book is. I have a 100 series Land Cruiser now, and $15k buys you a very nice 100 and they are far more "valuable" than XJs.

Around here, a lot of XJs (and Explorers) were traded in during cash for clunkers. Maybe they're rare now.

Not sure about where you folks are from, but most XJ's from the late 90's up here in the north east are either rusting out, super high milage, or catching premium price. It is rare to see a pre-95 XJ on the road up here.
