You will LOVE that truck! The more I'm under the hood of my Ford the more I miss my 01 24v The Sports are great--the red ones are pretty rare it seems :coffeedrink:
You may want to look into lift pump upgrades if you have the stock one. They are notorious for failing and running the IP dry :Wow1:
I just put a 100gph Raptor pump on it. I also just scored a free camper shell and carpet kit too.:wings: I'm so stoked to get this thing out on the trail!!!
Sweet! I am going to look at the 12v I was going to buy a couple of months ago on tuesday. I went to see it but the seller blew his torque converter the day before. The company who supplied his "upgraded" tc sent him their top of the line monster tc as a replacement! Lucky me! Congrats on the new rig!
So, I had a chance to go tool around some mountain roads close to home today. I'm very impressed with the way my Dodge handled everything, and it's only gonna get better from here.:smiley_drive:
:victory:You are correct sir! I live in Ogden. I gotta tell ya, I'm really lovin the 20mpg!! My last truck was a 79 Ford Extended cab with a 460: 4 to 8 mpg.:Wow1:
That's great--one of my favorite places of all time! Growing up in Richmond I am very familiar with the area--did you make it to the ice caves? I came down the pole line road (drops into Cub River and exits the forest near Franklin/Preston) in my old 24V last year... My arm is still sore from my wife grasping it in terror! :bike_rider:
Edit: And you can't beat the power and mileage of the Cummins. 20+ mpg with a truck that will pull at house off the foundation is a winner in my book!
