Colorado Hiking Mt Belford & Oxford 7.15.23

I promised I'm about done with posting 2023 trip reports. :)

Back in July of 2023 I hiked another two of the Colorado 14ers Mt Belford and Oxford leaving Missouri mountain for another time. The trailhead for these peaks gets overcrowded fast so its best the camp the night before along the road and get an early start (my opinion). Even getting to the trailhead around 430 am is still no guarantee you'll get a parking spot which forces you to park along the road.

View from my camp spot along the road the night before.

Spotted a herd of mountain goats on my way back to Belford, took me a minute of standing there looking in the area to identify what they where and not just rocks.

By the time I got back to the trailhead I past numerous groups heading up and the parking lot and the sides of road where lined with the vehicles. Overall, a great hike for the day and looking forward to going back and hiking Missouri mountain.
