Rendezvous Conspiracy
Well last weekend, we loaded up the jeep with our camping and fishing gear and headed on out to the river to meet the rest of our family and friends. Just outside Yuma, AZ, we found our way to the dirt road that takes you to Ferguson Lake, along the Colorado River. There are lots of great primitive camping spots all along the lake. This time we stayed at the cabin. The weather sure was warm, about 106* and at night 90*. My parents, sister & brother in law and friend each had a boat so most of our time was spent out on the water. I caught a few large mouth and nice sized bluegill around the lake and some channel catfish and stripped bass from a sandbar out on the river. It was great and the bugs weren't bad at all.
Squaw Lake, a few miles down river from where we camp. My folks launch their boat here and then we drive through the desert to our camping area.
I've caught some nice flatheads here.
View from the back patio.
Relaxing on the sandbar.
I start catching fish and all the kids come over.
Tubing on the lake.
I'll be a bit too warm for us here until around october. Then we'll just camp out of the jeep somewhere along the water.
