Continue to build or bail?

Best option appears to be keep the modest but capable themed mods on the 85, save until I'm ready to put cash +10k for much newer lower miles ride. Moving to the 2nd or 3rd gen 4runner or fzj80 will require similar, maybe more maintenance plus build cost to get the current capability I'm used to.

The logical realistic advice is much appreciated.

Yeah man, I think that's a pretty good way to look at it... From your description, I'm about 8 years down the road, but you and I have been in a fairly similar positions, and driving similar trucks.
