Converting a utility trailer?

These trailers seem to be really cheap around here as lots of small contractors are closing their doors... they caught my eye as a potential platform to build an expedition trailer off of... obviously this would just be a base and lots o modification would be needed but what do you guys think?

They seem to basically be a truck bed trailer with one of these utility beds mounted on it (without the crane ;) )

Thats pretty much what I plan on doing but my utility trailer is for a small truck like a toy or nissan so it should fit on most trails. these trailers are not light, thats the only drawback.

Seems to me it'd be a bit bulky for most expedition type use (at least the type I enjoy) and a quite heavy as well. May not be much concern if you have a full size to tow it with though.
