Cool seat covers, anyone try them?

Had mine on order since the first of the month and they have not shipped yet. I e-mailed customer service and she replied IN ALL CAPS that they were BACKORDERED FOR 2 MORE WEEKS.

I guess from her tone she was tired of answering questions about them.....

These are derived from special seat covers that are being used in Iraq, for those of you who have larger vehicles and big seats the original design can be purchased from:

Not exactly the same but the concept is there. I have not researched it a lot but I am sure that there are other manufactures out there. If I run across them I will pass the link.

Where do you order these from?

I despise 4Wheel Parts, and would rather not give them my money.

Unfortunately if you buy these anywhere 4WP will eventually be getting your money as I have heard that they are now financially affiliated w/ SmittyBuilt.

That said, I hate 4WP less than you and plan to get a set of these eventually.

Mine arrived over the weekend. They're so adjustable, they should fit just about any bucket seat. The only difficulty I see is securing the seat bottom. It has three MOLLE panels which hang down on either side of the seat, plus the front. At the bottom of each of these panels are two hooks on elastic cords. The idea is to attach them to something under the seat bottom, or to each other. The challenge may be them interfering with the seat's sliding mechanism, or other adjustments, or removeable seat bottoms.

Otherwise, the covers look great. I'm still figuring out what to store where. They come with a selection of several different storage pouches. And if you need more, you can just pick up anything MOLLE-compatible.

These pictures were posted on NAXJA and shows how they fit a high back seat (crosspost of pictures, remove if not allowed).

My Cherokee has the movable headrests instead of the one piece high backs. After looking at the pictures, I really don't see how the would work on a non high back seat. I was bummed as I think this would have worked perfect for me. Hope these pictures help anyone thinking of buying them.

I have the same seats, Mike. Can't we just install the seat cover over the head rest as if it was a one-piece seat?

Maybe but I am not willing to take a $100 chance. Since 4WP's did not stock them in the store I went to, I could not test fit them. Since for them, it was a special order, no cash returns and I rarely buy from them.

If you take the leap, let me know how they work. :jumping:

Just got to install my GEAR seat covers from Sierra Expedition-first time customer- all that was said here before about those guys are true-fantastic people to deal with!!
About the covers- they are great and fit my 89 landcruiser seat no problem even with the removable headrest.
planty of room and very functional pouch placement.
only problem i found with them is that they rob the leg room from the passangers bench seat.when the bench is folded to increase cargo area, any large pouches needs to be removed as well.

I have one of these on my Land Rover LR3. The cover is fully adjustable and working great. I decided not to use the bottom cover and eventualy will trim this off completly. I also purchased mine from 4wheel parts and was allowed to return it if it wouldn't work...I believe I paid $99.00

:pROFSheriffHL: I thought the bottom part of the seat was very functional especially the front pouch attachment for a quick and easy access to your conceald weapon...with CCW permit of course..:pROFSheriffHL:
