I have been keeping an eye out for a small, simple offroad trailer for some backcountry camping. Not doing any rock crawling but something that will hold up on the multitude of logging roads here on Vancouver Island. Thought maybe an M101 with a RTT but I am getting too old to climb a ladder to bed every night let alone getting my dogs up there. Then I found this locally. I have learned they are pretty rare and I am happy I got there first. Some one along the line did the spring over conversion but inexplicably still had the 8 inch wheels.
I hauled it home and stuck some 16 inch wheels on it:
A tongue rack:
Rear stabilizers:
And voila:
I would appreciate anyone familiar with these little trailers giving me a heads up. I believe there were originally 2 lengths of bowed hardwood lathe to keep the travel cover raised above the canvas but can find no mention of them anywhere.
Cheers
Chris
