Waking up in a hotel was nice.
Drove to fort Ross winery tasting, considered top 6 wineries on California coast.
Not cheap but well worth it

We broke out a camp at bodega sand dunes for the night. They got nice hot showers which came in handy after swimming in cold pacific. Also discovered a beach 1/4 mile away

Drove to San Francisco for lunch and mover on further to Big Sur region where we broke out the camp along riverside

Ok today was the day to stop driving and relax.
Spent 2 night at pacific palms resort and spa in Los Angeles

A full day of spa, 9 holes of prime time golfing and 18oz rib eye with some nice scotch was a good change from roughing it in the bush

The next day we headed down to San Diego. We figured to drop by hunnigton beach and
Tan for a few hours

San diego is an Amazing town with lots of military history and very nice Bay.

Visited the USS midway with great history and operation of the ship stories from retired military personal who used to serve on the ship

Also San Diego has Russian B39 submarine.
After being inside of one I couldn't imagine what it takes to be inside one of these for months on.

The next day we were headed to Death Valley. I never realized that something that is supposed to be just a desert could be so beautiful with so much changing scenery. Everyone and I mean everyone MUST visit it at least once. Just make sure you A/C works. It got up to +42 and it is September. Anyways here some pics of the scenery and the campsite we stayed at

Visited the hoover's damn today. Definitely some insane engineering but at +40C it was hard to stay too long...
