D30 w/ lower control arm cam bolts?

I've got a front d30 with 4.10 gears l'd like to put in my XJ. I've just noticed it has cam adjuster bolts in the lower control arm bolt locations on the front axle.

Do I have to use these? I assume I do, since the bolt hole opening is oblong. How do I align the Jeep with these?

It is all ready to bolt up, just ran into this little snag. Also, do I have to buy these specialty bolts from Jeep? They were rusted solid so I had to cut them off.

I've posted on NAXJA, but thought someone here might have an idea as well.

Thanks,

Troy

Its safest to use them when reassembling the axle if it had them before.

This bolt right?

Yes Jeep only, and yes, uncheap. On the flip side, they do make setting the front caster a good bit easier.

Make sure when putting them back in (and any of the jeep CA bolts for that matter) to completely coat the bolt in anti-seize.

Thanks,

Looks like I'll be stopping at the dealer.

What about Toast's?:coffeedrink:

You must be Troy from MNJeep, eh?:snorkel:

If he doesn't still have them, I might have some used ones at the shop.

I can check tomorrow.

Located in Duluth.

I talked to Mike this morning and will be picking a set up from him. Yes, I'm on MNJeep. Pretty hard to hide on the interweb. For now, he and Mantis live a couple blocks away and we routinely swap parts back and forth.

Later,
