Dang. I bent up my thruster bearings.

Hey guys,
I just got my engine back from the machine shop earlier today. I decided to start working on re-assembling the engine and the very first thing I did was go and mess up the thruster bearings.

Tomorrow is another day I guess. I'll have to go check up on these bearings for my overhaul at Napa or Autozone. Dangit!!! Take a look.

I torqued the bearing cap down after having inadvertently tweaking the thrust bearing during installation. I didn't realize it until I went to turn the crankshaft. It was stuck and would not rotate. So I pulled off the bearing cap and found this damage on the thrust washers. I was able to get a replacement set today and this time I installed it without messing anything up.

One just has to remember not rush through this and pay attention to the small things. I also installed the rear main seal, the oil pump and pickup tube, oil pan & both cylinder heads.
