Deep cycle battery

In my quest for a dual battery set up, the two manufacturers that appear the most (in my research) are:
Optima Yellow Top (D34)
Odyssey (PC1200)
Exide (34XCD)

I know the subject has been beaten to death. The deep cycle batteries just seem to be harder to find North of the Border. Based on weight - shipping does not make sense.
Not biased against Optima - but previous experience tells me - I burn through three of them....
So, I would have to determine the "right" one and then go from there.

Preferences and opinions would be appreciated.

Targa,

For what its worth, I have had the best luck with my Yellow Tops. I had two that saw hard life in a tube buggy and used them for over 7 years. Lots of long winch pulls and long spells through storage, which can be the worst on a battery. Personally, I wouldnt go with any other kind.

I just put an Odyssey PC1700 in my 4runner and I'm very happy with it so far.

Not as a secondary battery, but as a single primary battery.
