I know about the company. I'm just wondering if Mattracks uses off-the-shelf snowmobile rubber, or if they are having purpose made tracks molded just for them.

We have installed and used several sets, the tracks are designed and manufactured for the application, way heavier than a snowmobile track. Speed is limited due to heat build up, a reason you can travel faster in the snow.

We have used them in muskeg and they work great, the only downfall about using them in a waterous environment is the maintenance. We have to replace every bearing in every idler annually for one client, you just cannot keep the water out forever! The rebuild runs around $5000 including labour.

One area we had a problem was on a very muddy access that had a lot of loose rock churning around in the mud, the rocks built up in the tracks to the point that the truck stopped moving, we had to clean the tracks out and kept on going. Not a downfall of the tracks I feel, just really ugly conditions.
