The guy i bought my HDJ100 from as this defender TD5 for sale. Might be a good donor for a swap into a defender here in North America.
Have him dismantle the rear of the truck, cut it in half and ship the part and front clip over here, should be considered parts. (that is what i did for my HDJ).

FYI, Cost me about 4000$ for a 20' container from there to Montreal.
EDIT: i have no idea if the drive train on this truck is worth it, i know nothing about Landrovers
