Detroit Locker Blow out

Primarily because I didn't wait 6mos for your advice to check it. I removed it from the carrier and looked it over and went through the entire situation with Keith @ Rovertracks. I re-installed it and checked that it locked and unlocks as per the Eaton site. It unlocks on sharp turns if not under power. If under power it "unloads" on super sharp turns like bank drive thru's etc, just like it did when new.
This is a Salisbury rear, it takes 20 mins to remove the detroit. This is the second truck I have had this locker in.
A broken/locked rear as you suggest would have the tires squealing or barking on tight turns.

Ok, fine.

I'm not sure why you had to join a discussion that specifically pertains to Discovery lockers when you have a Salisbury. Clearly, the strength of the axleshafts and carrier are going to be completely different than what is on a Discovery.

People could read your post and think to themselves that they don't really need upgraded axleshafts when they run a Detroit based on your report which clearly is an apples to oranges situation.

You've never heard of a Detroit blowing out? If you break an axle, the Detroit will go with it.

This is a for sale thread for Justins locker deal for Rover detroits. I responded to your comment above, in his for sale thread (not so cool), that this wasn't my experience. I drive a 130. Not seeing the specificity in his post or your response that this was Disco only.

Is Justin's deal for Salisbury lockers or did you just feel you had to add something to show your vast knowledge and experience?

The thread started something like this:

Justin: LR (Discovery) Detroit Blow out sale (apples)
Somebody: I never heard of a Detroit blowing up (apples)
Me: Yes, it is commonplace for Detroits to blow up if an axleshaft breaks (apples)
You: ?????? I broke two axle shafts and my Detroit was fine (oranges)

Do you see how you sidetracked this discussion with a completely irrelevant post? You don't have a Detroit for a Discovery and everything you posted adds zero value to the discussion.

When I read the title. I was expecting to read about locker carnage, not a deal on the lockers :)...

How do u get the discounted price? Any for the P38?
Just shoot a pm or call us.

They will work in the P38 diff but you will need an adapter ring and then the axle issue
