Did I forget anything? About to order new Hallmark pop up camper

Hi all! I am about to order a new Hallmark pop up camper.

Hallmark has been really great at answering my many questions but i thought i’d reach out to the nice people here to double check…. before i place the order.

Did I forget anything?

9.5 foot base, Everest build. (yes, they will do this)

Nova Kool 2 Way Refer AC-DC 7.5CU FT

ALU CAB 270 degree Shadow awning (really want this model - no leg to whack)

Extended “cab over” bed…. with side of the bed storage cabinets

4 x 180 solar panels = 720 watts Grape solar panels.

Cooktop 2 Burner w/ Piezo Ignition

Interior small sink, drains to small grey tank on drivers side.

Mini shower stall (drains to bucket below)

MaxxTraxx and locking exterior mount.

two x Battery Battle Born BB10012 12V Lithium

Victron BMV 712
Battery Monitor w/ Bluetooth Lifepo4 Ready

60A Mini Lithium Ion Power Center Black PM4060LIK

External shower - Bullfinch

Combination hot water heater and heating unit / LP powered MFG. by Truma (PLUS)

FREEDOM XC-2000 XANTREX INVERTER / CHARGER

dual distribution centers

Tork Lift Tie Downs

Victron SmartSolar charge controller MPPT 100/30

External Solar Panel Zamp Plug Roof/Side

Lagun Table Leg to make inside dining table more flexible.

woven grey floor mat, with snaps

stereo delete (not getting the stock stereo)

no graphics “naked trailer” (we prefer the plain look)

Maple Wood Cabinets

TorkLift tie downs (the only option that will work with a current F350)

-> -> * plus a few things that I still need to get added to the existing quote: *

rear Hallmark Storage bins (to fit Honda 2200, etc)

Low pressure propane quick connect on exterior - for stove, and Campfire In A Can - back passenger side.

Mach8PLUS Hvac

metal work on the roof to 100% cover wires that connect to the roof solar panels. (to protect from UV)

Mounting the stock Ford tailgate camera on the rear Hallmark bumper

Mounting a $400 3rd party AUX camera up high on the rear of the Hallmark (always on if I select AUX camera on the Sync 3 system)

Hardwired 110v surge protector - Progressive EMS-HW30C

rear exterior hand hold (for getting in and out)

maybe the rear fixed ladder? (unsure of cost) tho no plans to go onto roof…. though the ladder would make cleaning snow and dirt off solar panels much easier when out camping. No good space to carry a regular loose ladder

small single wood step, just below over cab bed, to make getting in and out of over-cab bed easier.

clear rear Hallmark window, adjacent cigarette power outlet, that is switched with a switch there. snap on privacy cover for this rear window.

Extra layer of fabric added inside, (small patches) where hinges rub against the fabric, as long term protection.

Are there 10 LED lights in interior?

Likely add some $50 LED Reading Focus Lights - unsure where?
Maybe get slack on the internal water line that runs to the outside drain valve (and also the outside shower) to make any future repairs easier. (I hear the outside water valve from the tank drain breaks easily, especially in the cold)

Maybe have them add a rubber bumper to the front of the camper, in case it slides forward a bit in the truck bed.

is one Power Roof Fan 3-speed w/ In & Out included? (i think it is)

Differences between rear exterior Ladders : narrow, full, OR off set ($125 any option)

Should I do Bed Line X? Not bother?

Thanks for any and all good thoughts! :)

I can't give Hallmark-specific advice, but a few things come to mind.

My Ford came with a rubber bed liner (I probably paid for it :p) that works fine with my camper. I don't think you need anything special there.

If it saves a few bucks, buy and install your Torklifts yourself. It's easy. (Same with the Ford camera, although a pro install job wouldn't be the worst thing. We did it with a OEM Ford wiring kit and a generic camera.)

Bumpers at the front of the camper--I can't believe they'd not be included. They are pretty much so-standard-they-don't-get-mentioned for other camper lines. Ask, but I bet they're already on there.

Get a fixed ladder. They're handy. I'm not up on current Hallmark stuff but think about if you ever want to carry stuff ON your ladder and how ladder position and style will affect that (chairs, dog kennel (collapsed; not with dog in it), snow sled, etc.). I'm limited with loading my camper ladder because it goes in front of the tail lights. Doh!

It's gonna be a great camper!!! Congratulations!

sounds like a nice build.

It probably comes with a tank level monitor for fresh/grey, but it's nice to be able to reference easily.

I would get a ladder for easy roof access, as it is a roof you can walk on.

I really like the alucab awning too, i'm just torn whether it's more cumbersome to use with it being up high and having to unzip/unroll it. I don't know if the crank out style awnings are easier to operate. Something to consider, at least for myself.

I am thinking that we will likely have to carry a folding step stool, for access to deploy and retract the AluCab 270 awning.... so that is a bit of a pain...

but in my experience - especially winter (low sun) camping - the (side only) crank out awning on our old RV is sometimes in the wrong spot. The 270 feature should help with that. Hopefully. :)

Update - here is the refined build list.

Any last suggestions? About to lock in our Hallmark order.

Thanks to everyone who has given me lots of great info and ideas during my design phase. Super helpful!

I have had fun fine tuning the final details with Matt at Hallmark. He has been great to work with to help us build the pop up truck camper of our dreams.

Any other final details (or small options) we should consider adding to the build?

The build is now:

9.5’ long body, with extended cab over bed, and bed side storage units (going on a F350 crew cab, long bed)

AluCab 270 Shadow awning (passenger side)

NovaCool 2 way fridge - side by side - 7.5CU FT

2 x 20 lb propane tanks

Glass top Cooktop 2 Burner

mini shower stall, with tie down points for a PortAPotty

external shower - Bullfinch

TrumaCombiPlus for propane / 120v hot air and hot water

Tork Lift Tie Downs

Zamp external solar panel port. (likely rarely used)

720 watts solar on roof

2 x 100 amp hour lithium batteries. BattleBorn.

all Victron system, with inverter, Color control panel, etc etc

Air Conditioner Mach 8 Polar Cub on roof.

2 LED floodlights on rear with 3 way switch (on, off, or triggered by reverse)

ladder to roof for cleaning dirt or snow off solar panels

30 gallon fresh water tank, grey tank.

rear storage bins

2 x 20 lb propane bottles.

bed mat included.

Not going to have the bike rack, but this random pic gives a very general idea of what the rig will look like.

thanks!
