Diff covers

My Diff covers on my 2000 XJ are looking worse for wear. Thinking of replacing them. I have a D30 up front and a D35 in the rear. Should I replace them with oem or something stronger? I don’t do any rock crawling with the Jeep.

As long as they are straight and hold a seal, spray paint is your friend.

I wouldn't go out of my way to replace them with the thick steel dif covers that are sold, I'd stick with OEM stamped steel. An XJ can get loaded down pretty quick and then you'll be looking for more power. Better to keep it light.

The only money I'd put in a Dana 35 is replacing it.
