Wow that looks awesome! I will be making something very similar and you gave me many more ideas that I never thought of, so thank you! For the upper cupboards why not make drawers recessed back so you keep the spice racks and swing out doors (great idea by the way). You could even make the drawers with the front face cut low or with only a small lip on the front with a pull handle? Sort of like a 3 sided box?

The box worked out great over all. Rippin. I was thinking exactly what you mentioned whilst on the road with the spice rack as I want to keep it, is a recessed cupboard.

I've also found with the later model JK 14 and the subwoofer, rather than what I've seen with the pull out drawers taking up half the box, I've found using the whole box as a drawer gives lots of useable space. You just need to divide up the lid up into sections so when you need to access something you don't need to clear your whole table.
