Discovery 1 No Start

Ok were to start.

No Start one day after purchase.

Turn`s out the pickup coil died.

Tested spark no/ Tested coil No spark/ attached light tester to earth and then plugged it into the positive side of the coil, ignition on and turned car over constant power. :)
Plugged the tester into the negative side of the coil and constant light :-( Light is meant to pulse on and off nope :-(

Replaced the ignition coil / Ignition Module and also replaced the pickup coil inside the distributor. cha ching car starts. :)

Yay thanks too all the folks here and on the AULRO.com site for their help, Land Rover would still be Sitting still.

Now that it starts its a good time to check, clean, and tighten all your grounds in the engine bay.

Thank you Adelatoa iwill be doing that and replacing all positive cables from the battery to the starter motor and Alternator as they look a little corroded. :)
