DIY pop top slide in camper

So after 2 years of working on this with my kids we were finally able to put it to use it’s not 100% yet still some things that need to be finished but made 2 trips to Killington vermont and it worked great.
So after searching for a while for a pop top camper that would fit all our are needs mostly weekend snow board trips in the winter and beach camping trips in The summer.
So what we were looking for in a camper was light weight strong enough to handle some light off roading dedicated shower bathroom space lots of power more then the average 20 gal of water sleep 4 able to carry water in winter couldn’t find anything that checked all the boxes with out going custom wich I couldn’t justify the price or doing a lot of modifications to an existing unit.
So we decided to build it our selves this is what we ended up with.
40 gal of water, 580 amp hrs of lithium dedicated shower with laveo dry flush toilet diesal heater propane hot water 40 amp dc to dc charging induction cook top
Items left still roof rack 12v air condition snow board locker insulated fabric for pop top rear camera solar panels light bars front and sides IMG_2925.jpegIMG_2965.jpegIMG_3063.jpegIMG_3062.jpegIMG_3066.jpegIMG_3065.jpegIMG_3064.jpegIMG_3067.jpegIMG_3068.jpegIMG_3069.jpeg

Roof mounted toaster oven! Most people attach that to the rack outside, but you obviously use yours- I tip my hat to you, Sir!

Looks nice but I am curious why you used gas struts and linear actuators?

Also, what material did you use for your cabinets/doors?

I have not built my inside out yet. But here is my camper I built.

Thanks for the compliment. It is actually a topo of where I ride my ATV and the darker lines are the actual trails I have written. I had a local rap company do the job. On the back I have a bear in the woods and on the other side are mountains. The rap company did a really good job. Good luck on yours and it looks good.
