Everytime I see an update, it makes me want to swap to Taco platform. These one of the nicest well thought out rigs.

actionpackers and fridge?

TacoDoc,
Beautiful truck!

Haven't been through the hundreds of pages yet. But, thought I'd ask a few questions.

What are the advantages of the RM Actionpackers instead of the less expensive RM covered bins?

How many days can you run your fridge without driving to charge the battery?

thanks,

About the boxes, I only have experience with this style action packers so I can't really say anything about the others. I like this design because they work and are light.

As for the fridge, I can go 3-4 days easily without startup but it will run down the second battery so I always start the truck for 15-20 minutes about twice a day if base camping. No point in taxing that second battery unnecessarily ;)

I'd like to add a solar system in the future but am watching the technology develop and waiting for a good deal :)

A few back burner mods completed!

Like many here, I have a garage full of projects waiting to be completed. Today I tackled a couple :)

Swapped out my heavy steel AT can holder for their new gen aluminum one - probably weighs 1/3 that of the steel one

Removed the license plate bracket from the spare for fitment to the can holder.
This frees up room for a Trasharoo and a future project where I intend to hack up a Yakima bike rack and make a removable mount in the center of the wheel there.

Finally mounted the Trasharoo. I got that at Toys for Tots last year in Pomona and just got around to mounting it.
This will make it easier to carry trash/garbage and no more trash bags rustling in the night when the wind comes up ;)

Build it big cause once you get out here you'll have to go back to get your stuff, wondering the whole time why you ever lived there so long. The left coast is going to 'stun' you!!!:coffeedrink:
