Looks great, can't wait to see more. I'd be interested to hear how that Raptor liner holds up.

Thank you. I originally sprayed it in the spring this year and it was too thin and I didn't spray it even enough. It chipped in a few places and looked kind of streaky. So I re-sprayed it with the help from a buddy that does bodywork. It now looks a lot like line x and is holding up just fine

Nice truck I like where you're headed with it

Back when I was looking for one I remember thinking that it would be easier to find a unicorn than a 98 quad cab 12V :coffeedrink:

Thank you. Its actually a 1998 2500 with a 96 12V. The swap was done by a shop that regularly swaps cummins because the original gas motor died. It was done by the previous owner who used it as a work truck for his contruction company. Everything was real clean and the p-pump still had the original breakoff screw

I figured you were unsure of, or possibly mistyped the year of your truck because in 1998 they went with a new dashboard and yours is the old version used from 94-97.

Yea they used the dash from the donor truck for the guages. The only thing is the cupholders are terrible so I fabbed up a cubby where they were and bought a cupholder from genos garage that attaches to the center console

Awesome build! I have a standard cab 24v myself. You have basically gone the same route I have started going with mods. Info on the tires? I have aftermarket wheels on mine right now with 315/75's but Im going back to the stock steel wheels that Im gonna paint black and put some new tires on. Goin for the overland expo look. Your running the Hankooks it looks like, 35's? Info on the front locker? Thanks and lets see some more pics!!

There hankook m/t 315/75/16. The front diff is open, the "locker" your referring to is a posi-lok that engages the front axle when you put it in 4 wheel. The axle normally engages through a vacuum switch with flimsy vacuum lines, this replaces that problematic system with a simple pull cable design. It also allows you to have 2wd low gear.

Nice setup. Any more future plans?

Yea, it seems like it never ends. Here's whats left on my list:

- Thurens coil springs
- Thurens track bar
- 1" longer control arms (not sure what brand)
- Custom Diesel gearbox brace
- Shocks (not sure what kind)
- Carli progressive leafpack
- FTE resonator/muffler
- 5" KC fog lights to go w/ the 6" KC long range lights in bumper
- Cab lights
- Tow mirrors

Id eventualy like a selectable locker for the front axle

nice build. do you know what yr/model the seats came out of ? My stock cloths are beat and heat would be nice. Were there any mods needed to make them fit? How about the wiring?

Just got them in so I havent wired them in yet but you have to get the heated seat control module from under the dash and the switch from the dash. They came out of a 2000 QC and they bolted right in.

The two 6" lights are kc daylighters long range and the two 5" lights are kc daylighters driving lights which I run with my headlights on and its much better now at night.

Heres where i mounted the switches, it used to be for an additional cig. lighter but was never used so I cut it out a bit and fabbed them in there and they look almost factory.

And I also put on a resonator/muffler from FTE and it took all the drone out of the straight 5"

And here a gearbox brace i recently installed from Custom Diesel, great product for the money. It really tightened up the steering and should make the high dollar red head gearbox last longer.
