Ooo - sarcasm - I bet you're a sierra-hot lawyer AND a Type 07 FFL with SOT Status! It stings - it stings!

By gosh - you're right; and I never stated that he didn't say "other;" that wasn't my point. His inference that it was impossible for a private citizen to own automatic weapons unless they did a trust or formed a corporation - must be my imagination or my lexical-based reading skills... never did I mention the May 1986 ban. Now, please tell me I'm wrong again, barrister, that private citizens cannot own automatic weapons.

I enjoy the internet too, except right about now...

You can "Infer" anything you want but this is a discussion forum. It consists of words.......period. It is impossible to Infer anything. All we can do is actually read what is written.

I have no interest whatsoever in continually typing UP and some joker saying he "heard" DOWN. Good night everyone....I won't be back.

Only if you promise to re-read mine. Tell me how my original statement and the one you just cited is wrong. I mentioned nothing about pre-1986 weapons.

No, you did not mention pre May 1986 in your statement and by not mentioning it you deprive the truth; which is no private American citizen can own/possess any live machine guns that have been manufactured after MAY 1986!

Enough said!

To be technical a 03 FFL is a "Collector" license, not a "Dealer" license. There are guys out there who have gotten into trouble selling too many weapons obtained with their C&R license.

I am not against the trust route but we usually advise our customers to transfer/build their NFA items in their own name whenever possible. I don't want this to turn into a discussion of the intricacies of ATF application procedures but remember this.... The Second Ammendment guarantees the right of PEOPLE to keep and bear arms, not corporations. A simple stroke of the pen could nullify all these corporate/trust transfers in a blink of the eye and you would have no constitutional recourse.

Just saying............

I stand corrected should read; Class 3 w/SOT.

My guns bigger and better than yours, my gun can beat up your gun :D

Most gun threads do start to deteriorate after a bit for some reason.

This question shows the great divide between the Constitution and existing law.

I make no apology for posting facts, shameful that so much conflict surrounds gun issues in general.

I don't know how there is any question with regards to the second amendment. I'm a Canadian so I have no dog in this fight, I am however literate which is all thats required to know for a fact that Americans have an individual constitutional right to bare arms up to and including what is carried by the average infantrymen. The militia referred to has historically consisted of every able bodied man in the county, state and nation. Do people think that the founding fathers somehow wrote one thing and meant another? Or that if they meant for a right to be collective, when every other right is individual, they wouldn't have expressly said so. Anyways keep on fighting for your rights folks or you will end up in the same fight we are in up here to have your common law rights respected.
