Drive shaft?

I replaced my 04 rover's front DS at 50k long before I had any problems to occur. bought a new replacement tom woods shaft through will tillery when he was having a sale.

sold the old stock one for over $100.

TW will end ur headaches. the warranty and service with the company is great.



a front 04 rover driveshaft is non-greasable...

The U-joints themselves are greasable on the 04?
The u-joint at the diff is greaseable. The two in the DC end are not unless it's been rebuilt.
If you don't grease it properly you're better off with sealed u-joints.

Sheesh. This has been epic.

So, I found a driveline shop around the corner that can rebuild the shaft with new U-joints for $250. Good enough for me.

Christophe - you've probably already had your work done but another good local source is The Machine Shop in Chino. They do good work and are usually pretty reasonably priced.

Replace the drive shaft now

The sam thing happened to my son's he ignored it it seem to go away. He left here to go back to school in flagstaff dropped the front shaft which bent back and cracked the transmission: Result ne transmission rebuild and ne w drive shaft. So if you are looking for a ne transmission for chepa drop you shaft and file an insurnace claim..... Replace the drive shaft right now!!!
